Hi,
Not posted on here for a while, been too busy with work recently. Anyway, as much as I like my padded leather cuffs, at times I often wish for something more substantial. Buying steel cuffs from a shop was either very expensive, or I just couldn't find ones I really liked. So I went in to my garage and got the grinders and welder out. Both sets are made from sections of gas pipe, I think the wrist cuffs are 3 inch diameter, the ankle cuffs are 3.5 inch. I'm pleased with the way they turned out, unfortunately I just haven't had time to play with them yet!

Looking pretty good! Wish I had a welder on hand (or that my welding skills were above the "bricklaying" level of skill).
How may I serve you? *Curtsey*

Great work. They look scary , particularly with the chains attached. A clever way to make hinges and lock hasps.

Excellent work!
Hinge axle is welded at the ends or beaten into a cap?
No secondary release thru hinges?
Have fun, escape from Your predicaments...

Thanks, the hinges are welded at the ends, once these are on there is no escape!!FatherOfFour wrote:Excellent work!

How much time do you spend wearing your newly made master pieces.
I could see you spending the entire weekend in them.

Very nice looking work! One little suggestion... if you take out a strip (perhaps 5/8" on the 3" pipe) when you section the pipe, you will end up with an oval shape that fits wrists and ankles more naturally. This is especially advantageous for longer wear, as the cuffs will have broader contact with the skin on the outer edges.
