Hello

Post by yuukkirin »

Hey hi! To be honest, this is a big thing for me since my previous confession to my close friend about my interest in bondage and BDSM ended up in an embarrassment. I am from a conservative society, and my parents have traditional Asian mindset (such as no sex until after marriage), so I had a hard time accepting the fact that I had an interest in something that is considered "weird" or "bad" in my environment. I had kept this to myself the whole time after my first confession when I realised that the people around me do not see bondage the same way I do.

I realised I had an interest in bondage around 12 or 13, when I was reading a mystery novel in which the victim was kidnapped and tied up in a room, a strange feeling stirred inside me. Then I started searching for "tied up" videos on YouTube and it slowly expanded to bondage themed manga and fan fictions. I did learned a lot of terms and ideas from those mediums but I didn't dare to venture further into porn sites as I felt that it was not "right" (I do have a somewhat traditional mindset about sex). I do fantasies myself in the predicaments I had read in stories, and sometimes hoped that it may come true.. so I thought that I could search around forums and maybe try to understand this interest better and hope to have someone to talk to about it. It's took me quite a while to actually build up the courage and register an account for myself instead of lurking around

Welcome to the forum! :hi:

You've come to the right place to learn more about bondage and self-bondage, and all those kinky little activities associated with that.

The first principle in here is acceptance. The initials "YKIOK", for Your Kink Is OK, embody that principle - kink is personal, unique to each individual. The other is "SSC" for Safe Sane Consensual. We don't judge, we support. We even care enough about others in here to press them to avoid doing something so they remain safe.

Many of us have started in bondage when young, to discover later that it's more than just "pretend" and it has a profound link with our sexuality. So you're not alone. Way not! Everyone in here is like you, to one degree or another. So you're among friends here, kindred spirits.

Feel free to browse the threads, read up on who we are and how we think. You'll more than likely read things that are very familiar to you, or other things that are new but not contrary to your ideas.

And don't hesitate to post any questions - there are many in here that are more than happy to answer and share their experience.

See you around!

Jenny.

Welcome to the Forum. :hi:

I suspect you will find that there are others like yourself, not just from Asian cultures, who find their conservative society makes them uncomfortable with their desires. Even the so called "liberal" western cultures often consider us to be an embarrassment.
Never confuse your ambitions with your abilities. If you can't free yourself, who will?
When your helpless, you have no choice but to wait.

welcome aboard.

and don't worry. a lot of us can relate to your situation, because 30 years ago bdsm wasn't really mainstream in western countries & the web was nonexistent.

so, it will change and you'll probably be one of the trailblazers.

c u in the threads.

Welcome!
There's a fine line between cuddling and holding someone down so they can't get away.
