Re: Vacuum bed self bondage
Vac beds are definitely a unique experience; though I've never tried the expensive latex ones (US$ 350-500). I don't think you can expect people to avoid them because someone had a fatal accident with one. The best approach is to make them very safe which really is not that difficult nor expensive. ...

Anything extraordinary happen when … ?
This is not easy to talk about. But if I don't, it feels like i might explode. There seems to be considerable overlap between SB, bondage, self-humiliation, and experiences of certain individuals associated with spirituality, both in recent times, and over the last few thousand years. Being skeptica...

Re: Emergency Power out release
There are probably a lot of ways of doing this. It might be a good idea to latch the power off if there's a brief outage, or if a humungous power spike causes the electronic timer to reset or otherwise malfunction without releasing the keys. This could happen during a lightning storm. You could latc...

Re: dog shock collar
Things are a little more complex with electricity. Electroacupuncture uses low current; but at a needle's point, you can feel 10 microamps, that's way less than 1mA (milliamp) by a factor of 100. In any case, the shape of the waveform is important, also. Current is what you feel, but the resistance ...

There's an alternative that isn't under pressure. There's a variety of 'essential oils' that you can get at health food stores, etc. Pure cinnamon essential oil is extremely strong; peppermint oil is milder. I found this out by mistake, years ago. These essential oils are used for aromatherapy and f...

Re: Hypothermia issue?
I'm not suggesting trying this, it's fascinating and beautiful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bT1ImMSnq4 Once Harry Houdini did a stunt in a frozen river, but the current took him downstream, and he couldn't find his way back to the hole he went down into. Everyone left, thinking he was dead, but...

Captain Obvious: Why isn't it in stores and hotels?
OK now, aren't SB things useful for relaxing, creative thought, stress relief, and other beneficial stuff? This seems to be a budget variation on the work of John C. Lilly and his sensory deprivation research, but this stuff doesn't cost a few thousand dollars and take up a room. SB paraphernalia mi...

Put a furry lining on them and all you'll get is a quirky smile - assuming they still have their sense of humor (in the USA they have it surgically removed before they are put on duty). Jenny. Really. I met a lady from Germany who never even touched a gun in her life; at US customs they asked if sh...

Re: 20 Snow missions
Wow, I can relate to this so much. I used to shovel both driveways barefoot. The exercise and wanting to finish before going inside makes a difference. The Himalayan Sherpas climb mountains barefoot in snow, or used to. And the natives of Tierra del Fuego dive deep to spear fish off Antarctica. No w...

Re: self bondage spanking machine
I often tend to overdesign things. Instead of a curved pipe, a straight pvc pipe with a notch to hook the actuator arm on one end, and the other end tied to the bicycle pedal, which is already equipped with bearings that should be easy to bolt on to the pvc pipe. I'd like to try this soon, since it ...

Hmmm. After a bit more consideration, you may have a point. Yeah, maybe I can do without the giant arachnids. My imagination has enough to work with already. So .... never mind.

the heavy construction equipment kind Those have been deemed more fun than a barrel of monkeys by the standards people, but only if one is driving it. Getting run over by one is definitely not fun. the insects *shudder* Less fun than a barrel of monkeys. At least for me. I hate crawl...

I really like your basic design; especially the latex tubing tension part, and the knot release idea. That's brilliant and elegant. Nevertheless, I humbly offer the following improvement suggestions: 1a) In place of the knotted rope, install a curved, bow-like piece of metal tubing, perhaps like a h...

When you say '6 kKz' or '8 kKz', don't you mean, Hz instead of kHz? That's a 1000 to 1 difference!
