I would like to see a wiring diagram, as I am a bit still confused about relays. I thought a relay would have a separate power supply from the primary electrostim circuit. Arduino instructs relay to close and allow current on another circuit...thus low power relays can control high power devices ?? ...

PamelaCD - I think you may have missed that he was powering both the tray AND the locks with the same power supply.. so if the tray failed due to powerfailure, the electromagnetic locks would unlock.

Thanks for the description. I like the idea of only needing a single electromagnet to solve the problem. Do I understand that BOTH digital timers had the wrong AM/PM time? Maybe the backup timer should be analog. (And use battery method) I would like to see pictures, especially of the connected rope...
