Re: Padded wrist cuffs ?
I have has some success making padding to be placed under standard handcuffs. Starting with a 1 - 1.5" wide, heavy leather strap cut a piece that would fit around the target wrist at a location above the wrist bone. It should overlap by about 1". Work the leather by rolling it as you would...

Describe the inputs and outputs keeping it simple. Describe some conditions the master would respond to an...

Re: Best webbing for bondage belts?
All:
Another approach would be to get seatbelts from some late model
junk cars. Be careful because some B-posts have an explosive charge
to act as a pre-tensioner. Usually rear belts on cheap cars can be
pulled rather easily. Ones that incorperate a sholder harness are
more of a problem.

In the final analysis, unless you lock out an alternake boot method, and cast your
network connection in concrete, the human will succeed. Check out Knoppix CD's.
Don't tell your boss you know about this, many recently fired techies have sent
their work home.

A final advantage to the server approach is the ability of a specific componenet to upload a script (driver) that would be run on a trigger. Servers perform this sort ...

Re: Comprehensive framework
Where to begin? I believe your plan and the framework I proposed could both achieve the same result for what you are proposing. Our experience, though, leads us in different directions. In my experience most implementation problems are created by an unspoken (undocumented) expectation. For tightly c...

Re: Comprehensive framework
All: My initial thought for the framework would be an agent based model with an environment supported by both local and remote servers. This would permit individual components to access and publish information in a simple fashion. The components need only be network attached such as a camera, or a p...

Cooper: What makes a project of this sort so intimidating is diving into the details so early. Doing so does two things. First, people who mght be interested in helping will have no chance to participate if they do not understand what we are saying. Second, if the scope of a project is not settled d...

All: I see various applications described in this forum. They seem to be a collection of programs that are not designed to work together. So, here are the questions: What are all of the ways programmed hardware would advance our cause? We have key release, senario description, sensing the subject, v...

Re: Airport Security
I like numbers:
728,920,000 people getting on airplanes 3/10 - 2/11
Assume 1 hour extra wait time.
600,000 hours = 68.5 years
728,920 hours = 83.2 years
Security is costing 1000 - 1200 life times every year.

Re: Pneumatic circuits
My intent was to have the drive cylinder inside the main support so
that the total distance would be kept to an inch or so. By adjusting
the total amount of travel I can also limit the total pressure.
I have acquired some of the parts from a used machinery place.
