Maybe a (GY) MAX30102 or a similar sensor chip could be used. It detects Pulse, Oxygen and possibly change of Temperature when in skin contact.

How about an electro chastity device with an electronic permanently checking temperature, resistance, impedance, capacity and inductivity.

I have thought about that, but that would limit the angle the cane moves. You would need way more strength to accelerate it over the short distance. But i would have used a two motor system. A linear actuator to adjust the strength and a speed controlled motor for hit frequency.
