Re: Last year's misadventure...

Indeed, planning is nine-tenths of the success of anything. Including contingency plans. And you've given me a serious case of boot envy... those things are gorgeous! :D Jenny. Aww, they're not that great actually, especially since they're a bit battered after 4 years of use (I walked around the ci...

Last year's misadventure...

I decided to share the story, mostly as a reminder to myself to plan things like that a little bit better. No, not a selfbondage story but a misadventure in the open :) So last summer I was home alone, it was late night and I thought "maybe I should go out at night and walk around in my boots f...

Re: Preparing a larger session... or sessions.

Ok, thanks for all the answers :D Sorry but I was unable to visit the forum in quite a while (other stuff was getting in the way). Sadly, I didn't manage to collect everything necessary for my original idea so I'll probably do some slightly more restrictive but not so longlasting variant of the abov...

Re: My first SB attempt.

Ok, my first SB attempt (which I didn't know what that is yet at this point) was this... I was perhaps 14 or 15 and tried to sort of "tie" myself up using a loose sweater. I ended up putting my head through the hole, then both legs through one sleeve and both arms through the other... AND ...

Re: Remote control

All this electricity talk is giving me a headache.

Somebody should come up with a kinky agency where you could order a maid or someone to keep you bound and safe

Still, a wi-fi controlled device could probably make a fortune in sales to people interested in online domination :D

Re: Preparing a larger session... or sessions.

There was a blog by a woman (I think it's still running) who did an experiment of living 24/7 in latex. Or as close as possible. Since it was going to be constant, she had to change her suits daily. I would really, really like to know the address of the site, if you have it. Sure, it's a ...

Re: Preparing a larger session... or sessions.

just thinking outloud :) from my brief experience with a PVC suit covering only the body, down to "shorts" length, you get very hot very quickly Would a latex cat-suit be safe for two days confinement. It would prevent the cooling effect of sweating, though no doubt you would, making the ...

Re: Preparing a larger session... or sessions.

That's an interesting concept :D Current thoughts: I might go with Pykrete even if it doesn't last much longer than ice. It's supposed to be concrete-hard, so I wouldn't be able to break the block by throwing it against the ground or something like that. Also, read that you can use torn newspapers t...

Re: Welcome!

Looks good. Aaand I returned just in time for the big change :D

One minor thing: at first glance stickies etc. blend in with normal posts, so I end up clicking on a sticky rather than on the post that updated (that sits couple of links lower). But that's minor, like I said. No other issues so far.

Re: Preparing a larger session... or sessions.

Thanks for the additional info. If you were to do something like this, I'd recommend putting your ice in something like a double boiler , except you won't heat the outer dish... just fill it with the iced saltwater, then float the ice in the upper layer. The key is to have some type of waterproof ma...

Re: Preparing a larger session... or sessions.

During the second world war something called piecrete was developed to make ice last longer. This is done by adding sawdust to the water before freezing it. Information here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piecrete I imagine once defrosted, you would need to make sure that no sawdust got transferred i...
