Re: Need help with an ice lock idea
Try throwing a bunch of ice cubes into a sock dangling from a loop with the keys hanging from it. When the cubes melt, it will fall and make the keys available. Might want to use something to catch the water. https://www.boundanna.com/html/en_tech_directicerelease.html https://www.boundanna.com/htm...

Need help with an ice lock idea
I spend a lot of time in hotels in boring places. Tying myself up is the obvious solution to this problem  but I've always struggled with being/staying tied safely. Hanging the keys to some padlocks from an ice lock (or pair?) has always appealed to me as a time release mechanism, but I can't ...

Re: Low-cost DIY caning/spanking machine
Fascinating, thanks for posting! How much difference do you see on a flat plane? As to human speed, the fastest baseball pitch is about 106 MPH, a a whip cracks because the tip exceeds the speed of sound ;) The servo is controlling the speed after 45 degrees or so, not getting pulled faster by grav...

Re: Low-cost DIY caning/spanking machine
To put some numbers to it, a typical cordless drill has more than 100 in-lbs torque... a drill/driver in driver mode might be 500. 259 oz-in converted in in-lbs is 16 in-lbs, or 1/6th the low end torque on a drill setup. It's also important to note that the RC servo is not designed to support much ...

Re: Low-cost DIY caning/spanking machine
what about using a fast RC servo?? A hefty servo might well work too, albeit at much higher cost. Are you going to give it a try? I've got a lighter duty, but fairly quick servo left over from a plane which met it's demise in spectacular fashion, so I'm gonna give it a go with that. Gotta do some c...

Re: Low-cost DIY caning/spanking machine
This must be a silly question, because nobody in the thread has mentioned it, but what about using a fast RC servo? A quick search found this https://www.amazon.com/AGFrc-High-Torque-Brushless-Steering-RC-Servo-Motor/dp/B083GGYFQ7/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?crid=2NFKKJ8BGDQ8D&keywords=high%2Bspeed%2Bservo&a...

Developing a new protocol alongside an introduction
Good afternoon everyone, I've lurked on this site for some years, but never really had anything to add until today. I'm a married man with a bondage and chastity fetish, and I'm lucky enough that my wife indulges me in those fetishes. She claims having me do chores while naked and bound is a fetish ...

Re: Effective electromagnet setup?
I have done a little actual testing with two different electromagnets, One is ~50mm diameter and claims 60kg of holding force @11watts, and one which is ~20mm diameter and claims 10KG of holding force. Both hold more than their rating, given a good solid steel part to hold onto (How much I'm not sur...

Re: EmlaLockBox - The Code
I love this idea. Two questions, Which LCD did you use? How difficult would it be to make a version that displays to the HDMI as an onboard UI? I've done very little python coding (or coding of any kind for that matter)
